Partners in Parenting focuses on strengthening family relationships and promoting positive behaviors and lifestyles. We are dedicated to being a resource and a partner to all individuals and groups who are concerned with supporting today’s families.

Technical Assistance

Need help in developing a parenting program in your agency, school or community? Call us. We provide assistance in assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of programs. We can also help you market and publicize your program.

Parent Education

A positive and supportive family environment helps children resist high-risk behaviors such as alcohol, tobacco and other drug use. Parent and family skills training enables families to better nurture and protect their children and help children to develop pro social behaviors. If you need help in facilitating parenting sessions, give us a call.

On-Site Curriculum Training

The Partners in Parenting staff will travel to your community to provide a one or two-day curriculum Training of Trainers. The training focuses exclusively on the Partners in Parenting Parent Education Curriculum.

The training enables professionals and volunteers to receive hands-on experience with the lessons of the curriculum, become comfortable with the materials and be inspired and motivated to teach parenting sessions in their communities. The workshop equips trainers with the necessary knowledge and skills to run effective and successful parenting programs.

The Training Covers:

– Prevention principles
– Parenting theories and research
– Personal development and self-esteem
– Resiliency and developmental assets
– Discipline
– Communication
– Problem solving/decision making
– Peer pressure and refusal skills
– Risks and protective factors
– Facts about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs

The second day of the two-day training features teach back sessions by the participants and program evaluation.
